Wiki Composition

Wiki composition is the idea of using wiki and/or wiki-like technologies to collaboratively create and edit music.

There is at least one tool for collaborative art using wiki technology that exists, that being Wikipainting. This uses a Java applet to do the painting, and saves the images to a special location in the wiki setup.

Similar techniques could be used to develop music, whereby a Java applet could save the resulting midi file to a special location or maybe even a special page programmatically and then a different applet or .php script would allow the saving of the wiki file as a .midi file (or something along those lines).
